Hi, I’m Dayana Cruz Torres.
My passion is rooted in the idea that design isn’t just about how something looks—it’s about how it communicates, connects, and feels. I enjoy exploring the balance between concept and execution, where strong ideas meet intentional design choices.
As a creative, I’m constantly learning and experimenting, whether that means refining typography, building cohesive visual systems, or finding new ways to bring ideas to life. I’m especially drawn to projects that allow me to think beyond the surface and create work that resonates with people in a meaningful way.
For me, design is not just a skill—it’s a process of understanding, translating, and shaping ideas into something visually compelling and purposeful.
Design Experience
Currently, I work as an Editorial Designer for School of Graduate & Professional Studies in Southern Connecticut State University. “The HOOT” magazine for Spring 2026 highlights student success stories, professional growth, and innovative projects while fostering a sense of connection within the university community. The publication also showcases leadership, collaboration, and opportunities that support both personal and academic development, reflecting the university’s commitment to inclusive learning and meaningful contributions inside and outside the classroom.
My Approach
I value research and concept development as essential parts of my design process by allowing me to create thoughtful, meaningful design rather than relying solely on aesthetics.
I’m committed to continuous growth by seeking feedback, refining my skills and adapting to new tools and trends while staying true a consistent and professional design voice.
Let’s create something meaningful together.
